2007-2008 Hunting Season is steadily coming to and end. We have finished hunting elk, mule deer, and whitetail and are beginning our exotic and hog hunts and are quickly approaching spring turkey season.
Check back with us for updates as the season progresses.

Elk Season 2007
We would like to thank all of our archery, muzzle loader and rifle elk hunters for a successful and memorable season. We look forward to 2008.
We had a very successful season, we hunted archery, muzzle loader and just two rifle seasons instead of three.
We had one muzzle loader hunter that harvested a 300" bull on the second day of hunting.
Archery season we had four hunters. The archery season was unseasonable hot, averaging 80 degrees during the day, the elk were in the green timber and only bugling at night. It was a very tough archery season. We work and saw 16 bulls, but we had no bulls come to cow call as they were already with cows and didn't cooperate.
First rifle season we harvested six bulls out of seven hunters, no exceptional bulls were taken, all between 275" and 300".
Second rifle season three out of three hunters harvested bulls.
In general elk season was successful, the weather was unseasonably warm, the elk were still in the green timber and very difficult to hunt during the hot weather, no exceptional bulls were harvested, but we had a wonderful hunt

Antelope 2007
no permits this year.

Mule Deer 2007
2 permits were allotted in New Mexico on private land, and two exceptional bucks were harvested in the 180-200" class.
2 permits were allotted in Colorado on the eastern plains, 2 bucks were harvested in the 180-200" class

Whitetail Season 2007-2008
We would like to thank all of our whitetail hunters for another successful year. This season started off slow with warm temperature keeping the deer in their cover, then the weather turned very cold, with snow and ice covering virtually everything. This year was the longest rut we have ever seen in our hunting area; lasting almost all season. Towards the end of season the weather cooled off again, however the wind picked up; temperatures were in the low teens in the morning with afternoon temperatures at sixty degrees plus, and the last two days of season were over eighty.
We had several of our return seasoned clients pass on some exceptional deer that would have scored over 160", as they were hunting for the monster buck. One of our very knowledgeable bow hunters from New York state, who is used to seeing monster deer during his yearly trips to Kansas, witnessed two bucks challenging one another one afternoon from his bow blind at 30 yards. He reported to us that one of the bucks was a typical 14 point that would have grossed over 200" and the second buck was a typical 10 point that would have grossed over 180", he was not able to get an arrow off at either of the bucks. We also have video and photos of some exceptional young 1.5 to 3.5 year old bucks that are going to make for a real conversation piece in any trophy room. We look forward to the 2008 hunting season and again thank all of our clients for a successful and memorable 2007.
