Quail
hunting is also conducted in North Texas and depending on annual rain fall quail can be
very abundant in this area. As we were scouting a few of our ranches this September, we saw several large coveys of quail. Our quail hunting is based solely on the number of birds. We focus on conservation of our game as well as the sport of hunting and at this time we are not hunting quail on our ranches, as we are letting the population continue to grow.
The outstanding thing that makes quail hunting good for the hunters here at TTO is
that we have properties located in a 5 counties. So normally we will have a good hatch of
birds in several different counties and the hunting is not confined to one area alone.
